Past History
The Fisheries Agency(FA) of the Council of Agriculture has amalgamated Taiwan Fisheries Bureau(TFB) on July 1, 1999. The original TFB website was established in February, 1996, and had been reached by 112,683 visitors as of June 30, 1999. The current website has been revised from the original TFB website.
The fisheries information service on FA websit(FA's FISW) started on July 1, 1999. It's inherited TFB's website distinguished characteristic and increases it's function of the Internet service such as information on recreational fisheries, fish cooking recipe, ornamental fish..etc.
The original goal of the website was to establish that the need on strengthening public services and exchange of international and domestic fisheries information. Through the website, introduction of FA's policy and fisheries information are included. We hope international and domestic friends know more FA and fisheries in Taiwan.
