Regulations to exempt provision of certificate or relevant documents on basic safety training for the application of seamen’s handbook and foreign crew identification, and pending the establishment of the requirement of basic safety training in the regulations on the management of crews for fishing vessels, the existing system of training still in force
Promulgated on 13 July 2001 under Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan Order No. Nung-Yu-Tsu 901321064.
Programs and criteria for the basic safety training, professional training and on-job professional training for officer crews as provided in Article 11 on the Regulations on the Administration of Fishing Crews, are in the course of formulation by the Council of Agriculture, taking into reference of international applicable criteria. Pending their formulation, the existing system of training is still in force, and the provision of certificate or relevant documents on basic safety training for the application of seamen’s handbook and foreign crew identification is exempted.
