|Abstract of \\"Study on utilization, quality and safety of aquatic products\\": 1. \\"Evaluation of risks associated with the common used of environmental chemicals in aquaculture\\" : 一、In order to understand the common environment drugs for aquaculture food safety concerns, and to maintain the quality and safety of aquaculture products. We collected and used for aquaculture environmental medicine risk information and specification, to assess the potential risk to the safety of farmed fish. Bactericides such as BKC, providone iodine, glutaraldehyde, formalin Chlorine Dioxide, Sodium Hypochlorite,Copper Sulphate,Potassium Dichromate and Potassium Permanganate are added to aquaculture pond and comments on occupational health and safety (OHS),environmental (ES) and food (FS) safety. Although these chemical substance for aquaculture in occupational health and safety were non-harm matter, but all have the slight risk level; In environmental safety aspect then all have the low risk level to comment, in food safety aspect and the non-harm matter, basically these chemical were not presented food risk in aquaculture. 2. \\"Saury and migratory fish to detect radiation contamination and assess the safety of the Fukushima incident radiation risk in Taiwan\\" : A lot of people worry that seafood was polluted after Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. 124 samples were collected in this study at 12 fish markets in this study. All samples were delivered to the Atomic Energy Council to detect radiation contamination. Samples include tuna, flag, sailfish, bonito, shark, spaniard, spanish mackerel, mackerel, saury, dolphinfish, flying fish and some coastal fish. All of detection results are undetection. By our study and others research, we know that fish discharge most radioactive materials when it move from high pollution areas to the clean area. Taiwan’s seafood is safe. 3. \\"Feasibility study into the incorporation of carbon footprint labelling on aquatic products\\" : The carbon footprint concept has been utilized by the international community as a labelling system on commodities and services in the face of global warming. Carbon dioxide is used as a quantifying indicator of greenhouse gas emissions from processes such as material acquisition, manufacture, distribution, sales, use, and waste treatment. This method is used to encourage manufacturers to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve energy efficiency. Currently, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Industrial Development Bureau, and Bureau of Energy are working with the Environmental Protection Administration to assist in the calculation of carbon footprints generated by all industrial goods. This parallels the international trend of placing emphasis on the labeling and disclosure of carbon footprints so that fishery products from our nation can maintain export competitiveness into the future. Furthermore, this study will increase the awareness of environmental protection in the farming industry. Our nation should take initiative to embark on the planning of carbon footprint labelling on farmed fishery products. In this proposal, the carbon footprint product category rules (CF-PCR) for farming white-leg shrimps and shellfish, including mussels or oyster products, have been established based on calculation and estimation standards in developed countries. The CF-PCR of farming white-leg shrimps and shellfish will be set up, including data labeling and estimation standards in raw material sources, production, supply chain, usage and waste recycling. Bottlenecks and difficulties encountered in this process have also been evaluated.
